1. Core Lift:
- The Core Lift and BodyFulcrum® coupled motion is a breakthrough for core and spine conditioning. We have created an active flexion and extension spinal and disc decompression and imbibition promoting movement. This device compliments choices like decompressive equipment and doctors visits. The BodyFulcrum holds the lumbar spine in its power position of extension than using the true core muscles, psoas, to lift the heavy pelvis and thigh you hit what the planks miss, the power of lordosis. By combining asymmetric psoas strengthening technique with the focused action of one core psoas muscle at a time your spine and discs receive truly unique active spinal decompression. In my opinion, this combination is the most efficient combination of core and spinal conditioning in the world.
- The progression of the core movement from both knees bent with feet on the floor to one knee lifted toward the chest, past the hip and vertical creates an asymmetric mechanical disadvantage for that psoas to produce pelvic flexion. This occurs when the psoas origin at the lumbar spinal vertebrae is fixed into lordosis by the BodyFulcrum and combined with Core Lift pelvic movements elevates and draws the pelvis and femur off the floor. Switch sides and each knee has their chance to be toward the chest creating a bilateral asymmetric workload focusing one psoas at a time. You can choose and strengthen the weaker of the two psoas muscles, thus eventually creating core strength symmetry.

- The non-weight bearing decompressive motion of the spine created by the Bycore® exercises over the BodyFulcrum can greatly re-initiate disc imbibition, which is the normal disc re-hydrating and healing action that is compromised on almost a daily basis by weight-bearing activity, exercises, loss of asymmetric or symmetric lumbar lordosis, or old disc injuries. This is not for an acute disc injury unless you are under the direct care of a qualified physician trained with this device and exercise technique and certified in using this method as a part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
- The BodyFulcrum’s extension support and core exercises described above can also stimulate mechanoreceptive activity and thus endorphin release in the body which can help counteract nociceptive pain activity from the lumbar region. Mechanoreceptors are found in the outer 2-3 lamellae of the human intervertebral disc and anterior longitudinal ligament as well as in the facet capsules and skin and muscles over the lumbar region. These joints and discs are actively moved, which means you move them during the exercises and not passively stretched, during the Bycore described exercises when using the BodyFulcrum as instructed.

2. Cannonball and Jackknife:
- “This is how pelvic tilts are supposed to feel” a physical therapist explained to me as he decompressed his very painful and kyphotic lumbopelvis as he performed the Cannonball stretch. Positioning the BodyFulcrum under the distal or lower sacrum places a shim that you can use to take the pressure off the imbricated lumbosacral facet joints and stressed posterior discs. He then moved into the Jackknife and said he felt no low back pain as he felt a very relaxing stretch into his very tight hip flexors. This position gently decompresses femoral-acetabular impingement simply by providing a non-weight bearing axial and extension stretch to the FA joint. You can add a straight leg hip flexor active lifting exercise with short ROM movements preferably with adduction and maintaining a straight non-flexed knee to keep from bouncing the muscles.
